This absurdist spin on the classic characters of Shakespeare's Hamlet was designed with a mix of time periods and styles to emphasize the absurdity of time. With the tragedians inspired by 1920's film noir and circus aesthetics against the Rennaissance-era protagonists, the traditional Shakespearean costume expectations are subverted. The costume design team worked collaboratively on all costumes, but the costume renderings I designed, pictured above, represent: Rosencrantz, Ophelia, Horatio, and Ambassadors.
